sire-v7vn-a5-vintage-new-gen-basgitaar-natural
Sire V7VN A5 Marcus Miller Vintage New Gen 5-string active bass guitar natural

Vintage jazz bass with a 70s character

The Sire Marcus Miller V7 Vintage New Gen brings the 70s jazz bass sound into the present day. The North American alder body provides a warm and balanced tone, and the pickups are positioned at the classic '70s spacing: further apart than the standard version, which gives the bridge pickup a tighter and sharper character.

Vintage 7.25 inch radius with narrow frets

The neck follows the vintage recipe: a 7.25-inch fretboard radius and narrow 2.0 mm frets, for a total of 20 frets. This provides the round, old-school playing feel that many bassists seek. The Edgeless™ rolled fretboard edges and the New Gen C-profile make the neck much more comfortable than the original.

Marcus Vintage-J pickups with Heritage-3 preamp

The Marcus Vintage-J Revolution pickups are combined with the simplified Marcus Heritage-3 preamp without a separate mid-frequency control. This keeps the controls clear: volume/tone, blender, treble/mid, and bass. The bass control also acts as the active/passive switch — pull it out, and the bass operates fully passively.

Specifications

Brand: Sire

Model: V7VN A5

Series: Marcus Miller V7 Vintage New Gen

Type: electric 5-string bass guitar

Body wood: North American alder

Body shape: Marcus Miller Jazz model (New Gen)

Neck: Hard maple

Neck profile: C-profile (New Gen)

Neck joint: Four-bolt neck joint with steel plate

Fretboard: Hard maple with Edgeless™ rolled edges

Fretboard radius: 7.25 inches

Inlays: Black dots

Fretboard binding: Black, 1-ply

Frets: 2.0 mm narrow, 20 frets

Scale length: 34 inches

Nut: Bone, 46 mm wide

Pickups: Marcus Vintage-J Revolution set

Electronics: Marcus Heritage-3 active preamp (without mid-frequency control)

Controls: Volume/tone, blender, treble/mid, bass (push-pull for passive)

Knobs: Plastic J-bass knobs in black (New Gen)

Bridge: Marcus Miller Vintage-S

Bridge string spacing: 18 mm

Tuning machines: Premium lightweight open gear

Hardware: Chrome

Pickguard: Tortoise

Color: Natural

Version: Right-handed
