In 2013, Pearl launched the updated Export Series. Naturally, Pearl has given this series a modern look and equipped it with many of their latest new components. For the new Export Series, Pearl has chosen the same concept as for the Reference Series, namely combining different types of wood. The shells of the Pearl Export Series are made from premium Poplar wood and Asian Mahogany wood, resulting in a rich and full sound. The new tension blocks, specifically designed for this series, have minimal contact with the shells, which ensures maximum resonance and sustain. Pearl's updated Export Series combines the best of the past with the best of today, a modern, bold look with the rock-solid, familiar Pearl quality.
