The AKG C430 is a miniature condenser microphone designed for miking cymbals, hi-hat and as an overhead microphone. Its frequency response has an even boost in the treble range. It already provides the desired brilliance during recording. Subsequent processing with an equalizer is usually not necessary.
The cardioid characteristic effectively cuts out sound from the side and rear. When miking ride cymbals or hi-hat, this reduces crosstalk. With its small dimensions, the AKG C430 can be placed inconspicuously: an advantage for recordings that are also picked up by cameras.
The matching stand adapter, a windscreen and a microphone bag are included.
