The AKG PZM6 D is a high-performance boundary microphone with a hemispherical polar pattern that is ideally suited for a wide range of applications, from miking full orchestras or individual instruments, to teleconferencing and surveillance, to film and video production. The particularly small metal housing makes the AKG PZM6 D even more inconspicuous than the AKG PZM30 D.
Two switchable frequency responses (linear/boost) offer more flexibility in mic positioning and sound characteristics. The treble-boosted version produces a brighter sound, but without boosting the high frequencies at the mixer. The linear position, on the other hand, delivers a smooth, flat upper frequency response for natural sound reproduction. The AKG PZM6 D features a fixed cable with professional XLR connector.
