    The AKG Sound Grabber II boundary microphone with hemispherical polar pattern uses Pressure Zone Microphone technology. This makes use of the fact that sound waves are amplified by a reflective surface. This allows the Sound Grabber II to clearly pick up even distant sound sources. This allows speakers or singers to move freely around the microphone without changing the sound quality.

    The AKG Sound Grabber II is powered by an internal AAA 1.5 volt battery. Its 3.5 mm jack output is unbalanced and has a medium impedance. This allows it to be connected directly to cameras or recording devices.
