The JBL PRX825W is an absolute highpower speaker with a maximum sound pressure of 138 dB peak due to the double 15" woofer assembly. The integrated bi-amp power amplifier module has a total power of 1,500 watts and has a DSP with all controller functions. These can be individually configured via Wi-Fi and the PRX Connect app. The EQ setting can be switched from 'Normal' to 'Boost' depending on the application and type of signal.
Other features include two inputs, each with XLR, TRS, and RCA connectors, and a switchable output on XLR for routing the input signal. The input sensitivity is switchable from Mic to Line.
Due to its high output, the JBL PRX825W is suitable as a stand-alone system even for extreme level requirements. Due to the two 15" woofers, even bass-emphasized and very low frequencies are reproduced very well without an additional subwoofer.
Typical applications are disco, live PA and loud stage monitoring such as drum and sidefill. Also used in the JBL PRX825W are high-quality dual coil drive chassis, specially designed neodymium high-frequency drivers and very efficient digital Class-D power amplifier circuits.
The trapezoidal cabinet is made of sturdy multiplex wood and covered with JBL's durable DuraFlex paint. The front grille is made of powder-coated steel as well as backed with acoustically transparent fabric. It effectively protects the components from mechanical impact.
