Featuring the very same, sophisticated capsule backplate design andtrue condenser technology, the sE8 omni provides an authentic and transparent sound qualitysecond to none. Every pair is hand-crafted and carefully selected in our own factory to ensurethe best possible performance. With the lowest noise and highest SPL capability in its class,the sE8 omni is the perfect choice for demanding applications like recording orchestras,ensembles and choirs but equally good for solo instruments, vocals and percussion.

Outstanding stereo recordings require precision tools, i.e.: microphones with high consistencyand accurate localization. Therefore, at sE every pair is selected by hand to provide identicalperformance. The result is the highest possible correlation over the whole frequency range andvirtually identical sensitivity for stunning three-dimensional recordings.

Thanks to the sophisticated acoustic design with precisely machined components, the polarpattern is an almost perfect sphere, providing impressively pristine performance even in themost demanding applications without any coloration.

Every capsule is hand-crafted and individually tuned in our own factory with the highestattention to detail. The ultra-thin gold-sputtered diaphragm delivers an impressive transientresponse that enables capturing even the smallest of nuances, and the ultra-precision electrodeis optimized for superb linearity and natural sound, ensuring a consistently smooth and balanced frequency response.
The quietest pencil condenser in its class
With a very short signal path, no ICs, and specially optimized Class-A electronics, the sE8 omniis one of the quietest microphones on the market - and by far the quietest microphone in itsclass. Moreover, the transformerless design enables excellent transparency and clarity. Thecompletely new electronic design also ensures a beyond-the-norm dynamic range and excellenttransient response without distortion.
Two switchable attenuation levels
The switchable attenuation pad prevents overloading your preamp or mixer and providesextended dynamic range without compromises. Two switchable levels enable close-mictechniques for even the loudest sources like brass instruments, timpani and drums.
Two switchable low-cut filters
The integrated low-cut filters can be selected at either 80Hz or 160Hz. This helps to eliminatelow-frequency rumble or footfall noise or to roll-off some energy in the low-end.
