Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course – Theory Book Level 1 is the theoretical companion to the first lesson book of the well-known piano method for adults. The topics run parallel to the lesson material, so that concepts introduced during playing can be immediately elaborated on paper.
The exercises cover, among other things, note reading, rhythm, intervals, chords, and basic concepts from music theory. Special attention is given to recognizing and understanding chord progressions, with practical instructions that help to quickly grasp harmonic patterns.
By using theory and practice alongside each other, more insight is gained into the music being played on the piano. The book is therefore suitable for use during piano lessons, but also for independent practice alongside Lesson Book Level 1.
