The Medeli MZ928 is a professional electronic drum kit with the size, appearance and playing feel of a high-quality acoustic drum kit. The full-size wooden shells, large cymbals and 20-inch bass drum make this flagship suitable for demanding drummers, studio recordings and live performances.

The kit comes with sturdy hardware, a real hi-hat stand, snare stand and professional bass drum pedal. This means you immediately have a complete and familiar drum setup.

Wooden shells with mesh heads

The 20 × 16-inch bass drum, 12 × 5-inch snare drum and the three toms are designed as wooden shells with tunable mesh heads. These mesh heads offer a natural rebound and produce much less acoustic contact noise than traditional drumheads.

The snare has two playing zones and position sensors. This means that the sound reacts not only to your stroke, but also to the place where you hit the head. The dual-zone toms offer separate sounds via the head and the rim.

Large electronic cymbals

The MZ928 comes with two 14-inch crashes, a 16-inch ride and a 12-inch hi-hat. Both crashes support two zones and a choke function. The ride has three zones for separate bow, edge and bell sounds.

The hi-hat is placed on a real hi-hat stand and responds to open, closed and intermediate positions. This preserves traditional hi-hat techniques and pedal movements.

906 sounds and extensive sound editing

The MZ928 module contains 906 dynamic drum and percussion sounds. With 55 preset kits you can start immediately, while 45 user kits offer space for your own configurations. Thanks to combining sounds and importing your own samples, very extensive personal drum kits are possible.

Various sound parameters are available per kit and per pad. You can use EQ, compression, reverb and insert effects to precisely tune each sound to a music style, recording or live environment.

Clear color display and direct control

The 3.5-inch TFT color screen works with clear icons and makes setting kits and sounds clear. With four rotary knobs and eight separate sliders you can quickly adjust volumes and other important settings while playing.

Professional connectivity options

For studio and stage use, the MZ928 has stereo jack outputs, balanced XLR outputs and eight separate direct outputs. This allows you to send the different parts of the drum kit separately to a mixer or audio interface.

Furthermore, USB-MIDI, traditional MIDI In and Out, an aux input and two headphone connections are present. Bluetooth Audio and MIDI enable wireless connection to compatible devices and music apps.

Record, practice and use your own samples

The module supports MIDI and audio recording and can play MP3 and WAV files. Via an SD card of up to 64 GB you can manage recordings, audio files and your own samples. The coach functions help improve timing, tempo stability and rhythmic accuracy.
