Classic British rock sound in a compact format

The NUX NDS-2 Brownie is a compact distortion pedal inspired by the powerful British amplifier sounds of the seventies. The pedal delivers full distortion with warm overtones, smooth sustain and a strong low-end response.

From classic hard rock and tight crunch to a saturated lead sound: the Brownie offers enough gain for powerful riffs and expressive solos, without the sound becoming unnecessarily muddy.

Tube-like character and tight bass response

The specially designed BJT input stage mimics the overdrive of a preamp tube. An asymmetrical clipping circuit adds an organic character, while the low frequencies are processed in a controlled manner. This ensures that chords and fast riffs remain clearly audible even at higher gain settings.

The output stage uses a low-noise operational amplifier and red LEDs for smooth, symmetrical clipping. The result is a solid yet musical distortion with a recognizable vintage rock sound.

Simple operation with three controls

With Gain you determine the amount of distortion, from a tight crunch to a saturated high-gain sound. The Tone control changes the brightness of the sound, while Level sets the total output volume.

Due to its clear controls, the NUX Brownie can be quickly adjusted to different guitars, amplifiers and playing styles.

True bypass and compact design

The true-bypass footswitch allows the original signal to pass directly when the effect is switched off. The sturdy compact housing takes up little space on your pedalboard and is suitable for rehearsals, recordings and performances.

The Brownie is powered by a standard 9V DC adapter with a negative center pole. A power adapter is not supplied as standard.
