Piano Adventures Lesson Book 3 by Nancy and Randall Faber builds on the skills from earlier levels and helps students further develop their piano playing. This level covers various major and minor pentascales. By recognizing these patterns both visually and aurally, students improve their reading skills and a natural foundation for learning to transpose is created.

Eighth notes are also further introduced in this part. The method uses clear rhythmic patterns of two beats, so that new rhythms are learned in recognizable groups. The pieces include diverse styles and consist of original compositions, traditional songs, and music with influences from classical music and jazz, among others.

The lesson book combines practical playing pieces with theory exercises, listening exercises, and creative assignments. New topics are always directly applied in music, so that technique, ear, and musical understanding are developed together. The method encourages students not only to play the right notes, but also to consciously listen to rhythm, sound, phrasing, and musical form.

Within each level of Piano Adventures, two integrated books belong together: the Lesson Book and the Technique & Performance Book. In the Technique & Performance Book, the student develops targeted technical skills using the so-called technique secrets. These techniques then form the tools to perform etudes and performance pieces with more control and expression.

This Dutch edition of Piano Adventures Lesson Book 3 also includes Audio Online, with which students can listen to the music and receive extra support during practice. This creates a complete learning path in which note reading, rhythm, technique, creativity, and musical ensemble playing are logically linked.
