Modern jazz bass with Heritage-3 preamp
The Sire Marcus Miller V7 New Gen is the updated version of the bass that made Sire's name. The North American alder body gives an open, balanced fundamental with a tight attack and a clearly defined low end. The New Gen version has been updated in a number of respects: a revised neck profile, stainless steel frets, and lighter hardware for better balance on the strap.
This is the left-handed version: the body, neck, and electronics are mirrored, so the bass is as comfortable for left-handed players as the right-handed model.
Edgeless™ neck with stainless steel frets
The neck features the new C-profile with Edgeless™ rounded fretboard edges, allowing the hand to glide over it without sharp transitions. With a 34-inch scale and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius, the bass plays familiar, while the 2.4 mm stainless steel frets hardly wear and allow for smooth bending.
Marcus Heritage-3 with mid-frequency control
The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups are amplified by the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp. In addition to treble and bass, it has a mid-control with adjustable mid-frequency, which allows you to steer the bass from a classic transparent jazz sound to a full, present mid-range. The bass control works as a push-pull switch: pulling it out sets the bass to passive, so you can continue playing even without a battery.
