Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course – Lesson Book Level 1 is a Dutch-language piano method for adult beginners who want to learn to play the piano from scratch. The method combines note reading, chords, rhythm, and simple pieces in a clear structure, so that new skills are immediately applied in practice.
In this first part, students are introduced to the keyboard, the first notes in the treble and bass clef, and simple rhythmic patterns. Basic chords and chord accompaniments are also introduced early on, allowing the student to not only play melodies but also quickly perform simple harmonic accompaniments. The lessons are interspersed with recognizable melodies and short exercises, making the method suitable for independent practice and lessons with a teacher.
