Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course – Theory Book Level 1 is the theoretical companion to the first lesson book of the well-known piano method for adults. The topics parallel the lessons, so that concepts introduced while playing can be directly elaborated on paper.
The exercises cover, among other things, note reading, rhythm, intervals, chords, and basic concepts of music theory. Special attention is given to recognizing and understanding chord progressions, with practical tips to help you grasp harmonic patterns more quickly.
