In the summer of 1990, the composer traveled around Europe for a month and also came to Spain. Of the various cities she visited there, she was most impressed by the places in Andalusia, such as Córdoba, Granada, and Malaga. She was particularly charmed by the blue sky, white walls, and bright sunshine. Every street still reflected something of the Arab or Jewish tradition and had its own unique atmosphere, which transported her back in time.
