The Loco-motion was a particularly popular dance in the 1960s. Gerry Goffin and Carole King, with their hit of the same name, were the trendsetters of this music and dance style. This is in contrast to what many songwriters do: only writing certain music when it's already a trend. Little Eva was the first to perform the song, scoring a number one hit with it. After that, the song was successfully covered many times. And now there is also a catchy, lively version for concert band by Hideaki Miura.
