The JET JS-480 Series builds upon the foundation of the JS-380 platform, featuring increased tonal power and a more assertive visual character to the classic S-style electric guitar design. While retaining the refined hardware and premium details of the 380 series, the JS-480 introduces an uncovered black bridge humbucker, expanding the traditional single-coil platform with additional output and a modern edge.

Constructed with a solid poplar body and a bolt-on Canadian roasted maple neck, the JS-480 maintains the familiar 25.5-inch scale length, 22-fret layout, and vintage-style 9.5-inch radius. The neck is designed for consistent playability, offering a balanced surface suitable for both rhythm and lead work.

The pickup configuration combines two single coils in the neck and middle positions with a black uncovered bridge humbucker. Controlled via a 5-way selector switch, the layout provides access to classic single-coil tones as well as the increased drive and focus of the bridge humbucker. Master volume and tone controls allow for easy tone shaping across all positions.

Like the 380 series, the JS-480 is equipped with upgraded hardware, including locking tuners for improved tuning stability and quicker string changes, along with a modern tremolo system designed for smooth action and stable return to pitch. Gold hardware completes the specification, enhancing the series' premium visual identity.
