Warm vintage jazz tone
These tape wound bass strings have a nylon winding over a steel core. Their smooth surface makes them ideally suited for fretless basses, as they are gentle on the fretboard. The sound is warm and deep with long sustain — the round vintage jazz tone that bassists like Ron Carter are known for. They also work well on an acoustic bass guitar.
