Warm vintage jazz tone
These tapewound bass strings feature a nylon wrap over a steel core. The smooth surface makes them ideal for fretless basses, as they are gentle on the fretboard. The sound is warm and deep with a long sustain — the round vintage jazz tone that bassists like Ron Carter are known for. They also work well on an acoustic bass guitar.
