The Old Testament tells of Moses leaving Egypt with his people after his struggle with the young pharaoh Ramses. The 1956 film The Ten Commandments is based on this story. Satoshi Yagisawa translated the images of this monumental film into the characteristically dramatic style so typical of film adaptations. The musical imagery depicts the royal palace, as well as the architectural splendor of ancient Egypt. The liberation from slavery and the exodus are also addressed. Of course, the climax is Moses parting the sea and leading his people through the sea out of Egypt. A fantastic spectacle!
