The NUX NRO-1 Steel Singer Drive from the Reissue Series is an all-analog overdrive pedal with the character of a famous Californian boutique amplifier. The pedal delivers a warm, natural overdrive with soft highs, sweet mids, and a dynamic response.

The Steel Singer Drive is suitable as a primary overdrive, but can also be used to add extra warmth and sustain to a clean or lightly overdriven amplifier. This makes the pedal particularly well-suited for blues, fusion, classic rock, and expressive solo parts.

All-analog circuit

The all-analog circuit preserves the recognizable tone of your guitar and amplifier. The overdrive feels natural and reacts immediately to your playing. When playing softer, the sound remains relatively clean, while a firmer touch produces more overdrive and harmonic overtones.

Thanks to the smooth high-frequency response, the tone remains pleasant, even with bright guitars or amplifiers. The present midrange helps solos cut through the band mix clearly without sounding harsh or artificial.

From subtle boost to singing overdrive

With Gain you determine the amount of overdrive. Lower settings are suitable for a clean boost or a light edge, while higher settings produce a fuller overdrive with more sustain.

The Filter control determines the amount of high frequencies and makes it possible to adjust the tone to be warmer or brighter. With Volume, you control the total output level.

True bypass and flexible power supply

The mechanical true-bypass circuit routes the original guitar signal directly through when the pedal is switched off. This minimizes the influence on the rest of your signal chain.

The NUX Steel Singer Drive works on a 9V battery or a suitable regulated 9V DC adapter with a negative center polarity. The sturdy housing makes the pedal suitable for home use, rehearsals, studio recordings, and live performances.
