NUX NMT-1 4-in-1 Multi-Cable Tester
The NUX NMT-1 is a compact 4-in-1 tester for musicians, technicians, and pedalboard builders. The device combines an audio cable tester, DC power cable tester, current and voltage meter for effects pedals, and a chromatic tuner. Thanks to its clear display and rechargeable battery, the NMT-1 is suitable for use at home, in the workshop, and during performances.
Testing Audio Cables
The NMT-1 can quickly check cables with 6.35mm TS and TRS connectors. The display shows the detected cable type and the status of the individual connections, making it easy to identify incorrectly connected contacts, cable breaks, and short circuits.
The test function is particularly useful for checking homemade and solderless patch cables before they are mounted on a pedalboard.
Checking DC Power Cables
In addition to audio cables, the NMT-1 also supports 2.1mm DC power cables. This allows you to quickly check if a power cable is correctly connected and free from interruptions or short circuits.
Current and Voltage Meter
The NMT-1 measures the actual supply voltage and current consumption of a connected effects pedal. This allows you to determine what power supply and how much current a pedal actually needs. This helps in choosing a suitable adapter or the correct output on a pedalboard power supply.
The supported input voltage range is 9 to 28 V DC. The display can show current consumption up to 2 A. A warning appears if the voltage exceeds 30 V or the current exceeds 2.1 A.
Chromatic Tuner
The built-in chromatic tuner has a range from A0 to C8 and an accuracy of ±1 cent. This allows the NMT-1 to also be used to accurately tune a guitar, bass guitar, or other suitable instrument.
Clear and Organized Display
The large, clear screen clearly displays measurements, cable connections, and tuning information. Thanks to its compact size, the tester easily fits into an accessory compartment, toolbox, or jacket pocket.
Rechargeable Battery
The NMT-1 operates on a built-in lithium-ion battery and can be charged via USB-C. This eliminates the need for separate batteries and allows the device to be easily charged alongside other mobile equipment.
