Rompaey: Pizz & Play (Violin)

Playing the violin can be done in two ways: bowing (arco) and plucking (pizzicato). To help build up the process of learning to play the violin, students can sometimes benefit from putting the bow aside for a while and concentrating on playing pizzicato. Afterwards, they can combine both techniques, and the fingers of the left hand will also come into play. On the CD, there are two play-along versions for each song: first, a track with only the accompaniment – and for playing the second voice, a track with the accompaniment and the melody (alternately played by different instruments).
