The Tru Bass bass sound is known from The Beatles album 'Abbey Road'. The smooth sound and ultra-low string tension make any electric bass sound like an upright bass. These strings are eminently suitable for a fretless bass. They are very well suited for jazz, fusion, dub and reggae styles. Herbie Flowers used Tru Bass strings for the bass parts on Lou Reed's album 'Transformer'.
