sE Electronics guitaRF – Microphone Reflection Filter

The sE Electronics guitaRF is a handy tool for guitarists and sound engineers, both in the studio and on stage. It functions as a Reflexion Filter™, isolator, dual microphone stand, and fine-tuning device for both a large-diaphragm microphone and a dynamic or small-diaphragm microphone. These two microphones can be adjusted to be phase-linear with respect to each other for maximum impact. By placing the guitaRF in front of a guitar cabinet, it can be perfectly amplified and stage bleed can be reduced to a minimum. The design of the guitaRF is based on sE Electronics' popular RF-X filter. The four-layer filter consists of a composite screen with a wool layer, an air-gap layer, and an acoustic foam layer on the inside. The guitaRF also has an integrated hole with a rubber grip that securely holds almost any dynamic or small-diaphragm microphone on its pole. The holder for the large-diaphragm or ribbon microphone is adjustable in three axes: vertical, depth, and angle. This allows for the perfect placement of each microphone. The arm height of the included stand is also adjustable. Furthermore, the filter can also be placed on any other stand. This also allows for the isolation of a kick drum or hi-hat, making mixing a live show considerably easier.
