The V BEAT Black is a sleek new version of sE’s ultra-compact drum microphone, now rendered in an all-black design that discreetly blends into any stage or studio setup. Specifically designed for close-miking snare and tom drums, it delivers the same high-end sonic performance as the V7 X, but in a low-profile form factor tailor-made for drums.

At its heart is the DMC7 X capsule, featuring a lightweight aluminum voice coil for articulate transients, rich low-end, and balanced mids – perfect for detailed, natural capture of drums, guitar cabs, and brass instruments. Its supercardioid pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection, minimizing bleed from nearby sources, while allowing for tone shaping via proximity adjustment.

The V BEAT Black’s parallel XLR and mounting design keeps cables out of the way, reducing clutter and eliminating the need for right-angle adapters. Its all-metal housing, spring-steel grille, and internal capsule suspension ensure rugged durability and reliable performance without external shockmounts.

A slick swivel mount ensures precise mic positioning, and included accessories, such as red and black internal windscreens, a gold-plated XLR connector, and a custom knurled nut, allow for flexible mounting with third-party clamps. For even more control, the optional V CLAMP adds secure rim mounting and additional angle adjustment with a minimal footprint.
