The custom-designed DMC7 X capsule offers the same core technologies and features as its sibling in the V7, including an innovative, specialized aluminum voice coil. While the V7 is optimized for vocals, the capsule in the V7 X BLACK is specifically tuned for instrumental use. Its higher frequency range is smooth and balanced, capturing every nuance of the performance, while its reduced resonance and deep, extended low-frequency response deliver a full-spectrum sound. From 4x12 guitar amps and toms to snares, horns and organs; virtually every instrument comes through loud, natural and clear.
The supercardioid pickup pattern of this sophisticated capsule also helps to isolate your instrument from other sound sources on stage; this efficiently reduces sound leakage and provides high gain before feedback. Its superior off-axis rejection makes the V7 X BLACK particularly effective for close-miking of snare drums, toms or hi-hats with minimal spill.
Proven neodymium magnets, tight production tolerances, and high-quality workmanship ensure excellent sensitivity, high sound quality and great consistency.
Unique, patented integrated capsule suspension
The V7 X BLACK’s advanced internal capsule suspension efficiently decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration; this isolates it from shocks and bumps while delivering exceptionally low rumble and handling noise compared to other microphones in its class.
All-metal housing & beveled spring steel grille
The V7 X BLACK’s robust, all-metal design is built to withstand the demands of the stage. Its high-grade, highly durable zinc alloy chassis is designed to endure years of on-stage use; while the spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-resistant for reliable performance. A beveled edge around the grille also prevents the microphone from rolling when placed on an amp or the stage floor.
