Sire V7N A4 Marcus Miller New Gen 4-string active bass guitar yellow swirl

Modern jazz bass with Heritage-3 preamp

The Sire Marcus Miller V7 New Gen is the updated version of the bass that made Sire famous. The North American alder body provides an open, balanced fundamental tone with a tight attack and a clearly defined low end. The New Gen version has been updated in many respects: a revised neck profile, stainless steel frets, and lighter hardware for better balance on the strap.

Edgeless™ neck with stainless steel frets

The neck features the new C-profile with Edgeless™ rounded fingerboard edges, allowing the hand to glide over it without sharp transitions. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius, the bass plays familiarly, while the 2.4mm stainless steel frets hardly wear and allow for smooth bending.

Marcus Heritage-3 with mid-frequency control

The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups are amplified by the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp. In addition to treble and bass, it has a mid-range control with adjustable mid-frequency, which allows you to shape the bass from a classic transparent jazz sound to a full, present mid-range. The bass control works as a push-pull switch: pulling it out sets the bass to passive, so you can continue playing even without a battery.
