Modern Jazz Bass with Heritage-3 Preamp

The Sire Marcus Miller V7 New Gen is the updated version of the bass that made Sire famous. The North American alder body provides an open, balanced fundamental tone with a tight attack and clearly defined low end. The New Gen version has been updated in many respects: a revised neck profile, stainless steel frets, and lighter hardware for better balance on the strap.

This is the left-handed version: the body, neck, and electronics are mirrored, making the bass as comfortable for left-handed players as the right-handed model.

Edgeless™ Neck with Stainless Steel Frets

The neck features the new C-profile with Edgeless™ rounded fingerboard edges, allowing the hand to glide over it without sharp transitions. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, the bass plays familiarly, while the 2.4mm stainless steel frets show hardly any wear and allow for smooth string bending.

Marcus Heritage-3 with Mid-Frequency Control

The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups are amplified by the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp. In addition to treble and bass, it has a mid-control with adjustable mid-frequency, which allows you to sculpt the bass from a classic transparent jazz sound to a full, present mid-range. The bass control works as a push-pull switch: pulling it out sets the bass to passive mode, so you can continue playing even without a battery.
