Fantaisie orientale op. 24 is one of two works published posthumously after Henryk Wieniawski’s death. This short, single-movement piece has a rhapsodic, improvisatory character. Its "Oriental" style is created through the use of the Gypsy scale in A minor, featuring characteristic augmented seconds. Written as a virtuosic salon piece, it showcases both expressive and technical brilliance.
