Wieniawski: Scherzo-Tarantelle Op. 16 (Viool en kamerensemble)

Composed in 1855 and dedicated to Lambert Massart, Scherzo-Tarantelle in G minor, Op. 16 was originally written for violin and piano. In Arnold Rezler’s transcription for solo violin and chamber ensemble, the work gains new colours and harmonic depth while retaining the character of an original composition. The arrangement also offers educational value by giving young violinists the opportunity to perform with a chamber ensemble.
