Amélie was one of the most successful French films of the beginning of the century, thanks to an original screenplay, excellent acting performances and an almost fairytale-like atmosphere. Yann Tiersen's music fits in seamlessly with this. The melodies are playful and lyrical – wonderful to dream away to and a pleasure to play. The titles used for this arrangement are ideally suited for an accordion orchestra. The cheerful and at the same time melancholic sound of the accordion is very suitable for reproducing the typical French atmosphere of the film.
