Informatie
Albert de Klerk composed the Pater noster for four-part mixed choir a cappella for his Koor Katholiek Haarlem, which he founded in 1946 and led until 1991; since then, Ger Vos has been the conductor, and the choir is now called Concertkoor Haarlem. For a long time, the work was sung at the end of the weekly rehearsal. The apparent simplicity, the color of the harmonic progressions, and the beautiful architecture have made this homophonic composition very popular in a short time. In 1988, Albert de Klerk arranged his composition for four-part male choir.
