Informatie
Alfred's Basic Piano Library – Lesson Book Level 1A is the first volume of an accessible piano method for young and beginner pianists. The book lays the foundation for good piano playing step-by-step, combining clear explanations with simple exercises, recognizable melodies, and playful illustrations.
Students begin with a correct and relaxed playing posture and then learn to identify the names of the white and black keys. Simple rhythms, finger numbers, and basic musical concepts are also covered. The method gradually prepares players for interval-based note reading, focusing on notes that stay the same, move up step-by-step, or move down step-by-step.
Afterward, line and space notes in the treble and bass clefs are introduced. Students become familiar with melodic and harmonic intervals, including seconds, thirds, fourths, and fifths. Sharps and flats are also covered. In this way, beginner pianists ultimately learn to read the entire musical notation system and play simple pieces of music independently.
