Medeli MZ538 electronic drum kit

A natural playing experience in a compact setup

The Medeli MZ538 is a complete electronic drum kit with large mesh-head pads, a real hi-hat stand, and an extensive range of sounds. The combination of adjustable mesh heads and multi-zone triggers provides a realistic response, making the set suitable for both beginning and advanced drummers.

The configuration consists of a 12-inch dual-zone snare drum, two 8-inch dual-zone toms, a 10-inch dual-zone floor tom, and an 8-inch bass drum pad. The cymbals also offer plenty of expressive possibilities: a 12-inch dual-zone hi-hat, a 12-inch dual-zone crash with choke, and a 14-inch triple-zone ride with choke.

Real hi-hat stand and suitable for a double pedal

Instead of a separate electronic foot pedal, the MZ538 uses a real hi-hat stand. This makes open, semi-open, and closed hi-hat parts feel more natural. The 8-inch kick pad is played with a conventional bass drum pedal and is also suitable for use with a double bass drum pedal.

459 sounds and extensive editing possibilities

The drum module contains 459 dynamic drum and percussion sounds. You can play immediately with 31 pre-programmed drum kits or create up to eight custom kits. You can further adjust the character and dynamics of the overall drum sound with reverb, equalizer, and compressor.

The 4.1-inch LCD screen, individual knobs, function keys, and volume sliders make the module easy to navigate. This allows you to quickly choose a kit, adjust settings, or start a practice function.

Bluetooth, USB audio, and MIDI

Via Bluetooth Audio, you can wirelessly stream music from a phone or tablet to the module. This is useful when you want to play along with songs, lessons, or backing tracks. A wired audio source can be connected via the AUX input.

The USB-B port supports both audio and MIDI. This allows the MZ538 to be used with compatible recording software, virtual instruments, and music production applications. In addition, traditional MIDI In and Out connections are provided.

Focused work on your technique

The built-in coach functions help you improve your timing, speed, and rhythm. You can practice with features such as Quiet Count, Beat Check, Change Up, and Speed Challenge. Furthermore, the module features an extensive metronome and 50 preset songs, supplemented with space for five user songs.
