The Medeli UP405E/RW is a stylish digital upright piano with a warm Rosewood Satin finish. The traditional piano cabinet, integrated music rest, and three pedals give the instrument a classic look, while modern digital functions offer plenty of possibilities for home practice, piano lessons, and performance.

The control panel features a clear OLED screen and touch-sensitive controls. When you are not using the panel, the illuminated functions fade into the background. This allows the piano to maintain its calm, acoustic appearance.

Grand Action 3-Sensor Premium keyboard

The G3P keyboard features 88 weighted keys with a graded playing weight. The three sensors per key accurately register repeated strokes, even when a key has not yet returned to its starting position.

The white keys have an ivory-like texture and the black keys are lightly textured. Each key also features escapement simulation. Together, these features ensure a controlled and nuanced playing feel that matches that of an acoustic grand piano.

PurePiano sounds with 256-note polyphony

The PurePiano technology offers two meticulously crafted concert grand piano sounds with a wide dynamic range. From a soft pianissimo touch to powerful chords: the sound reacts in detail to the way you play.

In addition to the piano sounds, electric pianos, organs, strings, and other instrument sounds are available. In total, the UP405E contains 40 sounds. Thanks to the maximum polyphony of 256 notes, complex passages, layered sounds, and long-held pedal parts remain clearly audible.

Powerful four-way speaker system

The built-in audio system consists of two 12cm speakers and two 5cm speakers. These are driven by four amplifier channels of 25 watts each. The larger speakers provide the foundation, and the smaller speakers support the clarity and detail in the highs.

With Dynamic Acoustic System technology, the sound remains balanced even at lower volume levels. This allows you to play comfortably at home without the piano sound immediately becoming thin or flat.

Progressive Response pedal system

The integrated pedal unit offers soft, sostenuto, and sustain functions. The Progressive Response system simulates the changing resistance of a grand piano pedal. This not only makes the operation feel more realistic, but also allows you to control the sustain more precisely.

Playing, practicing, and recording

With Layer, you can combine two sounds across the entire keyboard. The Split function divides the keyboard into separate zones, while Twinova creates two identical playing areas. The latter is particularly useful during piano lessons, as teacher and student can play in the same pitch range simultaneously.

The music library contains 100 piano songs and 320 lesson pieces. In addition, a metronome, transposition, octave adjustment, tuning, and various temperaments are available. Performances can be recorded internally as MIDI or captured on a USB storage medium as an MP3 or WAV file.

Extensive connection options

Via USB-B, the piano can exchange audio and MIDI data with a computer. The USB-A port is suitable for an external storage medium up to 128 GB. Furthermore, a stereo audio input, separate line outputs, and two headphone jacks are provided.

Thanks to the two headphone jacks, a student and teacher can listen simultaneously, for example. When using headphones, you can practice without disturbing others in the area.
