Eberz: Zo Speel ik Viool 3 builds on the first two parts of Carmen Eberz’s violin method and is aimed at students who have already solidly developed their basic technique. The clear layout and imaginative illustrations are retained, but the technical and musical content in this third part gains significantly more depth.
An important component is the further development of position playing. The second and third positions are extensively covered, along with position changes, chromaticism, and the half position. This teaches the student to move more smoothly over the fingerboard and lays the foundation for later higher positions.
The rhythmic and technical scope also broadens. Triplets and syncopations demand more rhythmic precision, while intervals, double stops, and three-note chords further challenge the left hand. Additionally, trills, ornaments, and spiccato are introduced, allowing both articulation and bow control to develop further.
The online audio supports learning and makes it possible to practice new repertoire with accompaniment. This makes this part suitable for use in violin lessons and for independent home study.
