This work is based on folk music from Chiba Prefecture. Initially, it was very difficult to find a suitable folk song for a march, but after several months of searching, the composer discovered Boushu Oiwake, a lyrical folk song for vocals, Japanese bamboo flute, and shamisen (a three-stringed Japanese instrument). He constructed the march based on his own musical ideas, using this folk song as a foundation. The expression varies depending on the tempi and interpretations of passages. Allow your orchestra to give a unique performance of March-Bou-Shu.
