Medeli MZ725 electronic drum kit – full mesh, dual crash, and real hi-hat

Extensive electronic drum kit with acoustic playing experience

The Medeli MZ725 is a generous electronic drum kit for advanced beginners, experienced drummers and musicians who want to play at home, in the studio or on stage. The extensive XL configuration consists of a snare drum, four toms, two crashes, a ride, an 8-inch bass drum pad and a hi-hat on a real stand.

Thanks to this complete setup, the MZ725 feels familiar to drummers accustomed to an acoustic drum kit. The extra floor tom and second crash also offer more possibilities for fills, accents and extended arrangements.

Mesh-head pads with two playing zones

All drum pads feature mesh-heads. These mesh skins provide a natural rebound and produce significantly less contact noise than traditional rubber pads. The tension of the heads can be adjusted to further tailor the playing feel to your preference.

The 10-inch snare and four tom pads have two zones. This allows different sounds to be controlled via the head and the rim. The two 12-inch crashes also support two zones and can be muted by hand.

Real hi-hat and 3-zone ride

The 12-inch hi-hat is mounted on a real hi-hat stand. This allows you to use traditional open, half-open, closed and pedal-controlled articulations. The 14-inch ride features three zones for bow, edge and bell sounds and supports a choke function.

The 8-inch mesh-head bass drum pad is suitable for a traditional bass drum pedal. The stable pad offers a more realistic playing feel than a simple switch and enables the practice of various bass drum techniques.

699 sounds and extensive user space

The drum computer contains 699 drum and percussion sounds plus 19 separate hi-hat sounds. You can play directly with 54 preset kits or assemble up to 45 custom drum kits. You can quickly adjust the kit via the clear 3-inch LCD screen and separate faders.

With EQ, reverb and compressor, you can further tune the sound for headphones, an amplifier, recording or live performance. The 128-voice polyphony ensures that fast fills and complex parts are fully reproduced.

Practice, record and play along

The MZ725 has 100 accompanying songs and space for ten user songs. The built-in coach functions help improve timing, accuracy and tempo stability. Via the metronome, you can adjust time signature, rhythm type, accent and click volume, among other things.

You can record performances as MIDI or audio files. MP3 and WAV files can be played back, allowing you to easily play along with your own music or practice tracks.

Complete connectivity options

Via USB-B and the traditional MIDI input and output, you can connect the MZ725 to a computer, audio interface or other MIDI equipment. There is also a headphone output, aux input and separate left and right outputs. An SD card of up to 64 GB can be used for additional storage.
