The Englishman Bishop Reginald Heber (1783–1826) wrote Brightest and Best of the Sons of the Morning for the Feast of Epiphany. This text was published in the Christian Observer in 1811, but it was not set to music until after Heber's death by James Proctor Harding (1850–1911) – under the title Morning Star. Henk Hogestein's atmospheric arrangement lends a certain verve to any Christmas concert.
