The NUX Amp Academy Stomp is a compact amp modeler and multi-effects processor for use on stage, in the studio, or for practice. The pedal combines amp and power amp modeling, stereo cabinet IRs, effects, flexible routing, and extensive connectivity in a sturdy aluminum housing.

The TS/AC-4K technology simulates the preamp and power amp separately, allowing you to combine different amp characters and power tube types to create a personalized virtual amplifier.

Stereo Cyber IR and Image Technology

The independent Cyber IR engine for the left and right channels supports stereo playback with separate speaker cabinet settings. Microphone type, microphone position, and distance are adjustable, allowing you to precisely shape the virtual recording of the speaker cabinet.

In addition to the internal amp models, the Amp Academy Stomp supports loading compatible NAM and Image captures. This allows you to use additional amp profiles in the AMP block. The unit also comes with three multi-layered Deep Image models.

Nine effect blocks and flexible routing

The signal chain consists of nine blocks for noise gate, compressor, effects, amplifier, equalizer, send/return, impulse response, delay, and reverb. Delay and reverb can be used in series or parallel. The send/return connections support both traditional effect loop routing and a branch mode.

In branch mode, you send a signal without cabinet IR to a real power amplifier, while the stereo outputs simultaneously send a signal with IR to a PA system or FRFR monitor.

Presets, scenes, and stage control

The pedal features 27 factory and 27 user presets. Each preset contains three scenes, allowing you to recall multiple effect and sound settings during a song without loading an entirely new signal chain.

The three built-in footswitches can be used for preset, scene, or stomp control. The four Quick Block buttons allow you to instantly switch assigned effect blocks on or off. The included NMP-2 Lite footswitch offers two additional switching functions.

Looper, USB Audio, and Bluetooth

The integrated stereo looper has a maximum recording time of 30 seconds and can be placed before or after the effects. Via USB-C, the Amp Academy Stomp also functions as a 24-bit/48kHz audio interface for recording and playback via a computer.

With the NBT-1 Bluetooth module and the mobile app, you can adjust settings wirelessly. For extensive editing and preset management, the Monarch Editor is available for Windows and macOS.
