Compact modeling bass amplifier with a powerful sound

The NUX Mighty Bass 50BT is a compact digital modeling bass amplifier for home practice, rehearsals, recording, and small gigs. Its efficient class-D amplifier and specially developed 6.5-inch FRFR speaker deliver tight lows, clear mids, and sufficient definition to accurately reproduce various bass sounds.

Despite its compact housing, the amplifier offers extensive features that normally require multiple devices. Amplifier models, cabinet IRs, effects, a drum machine, a looper, Bluetooth, and a USB audio interface are all integrated.

Realistic amplifier and cabinet models

The Mighty Bass 50BT uses NUX TSAC modeling technology to emulate the dynamic behavior and tone of various bass amplifiers. Models are available for warm vintage bass tones, clear modern sounds, and beefier rock settings.

Cabinet impulse responses also simulate the tonal character of different speaker cabinets. The amplifier includes eight factory IRs and eight free memory slots for external IR files. Through the Mighty Bass Editor software, custom IR files with up to 1024 samples can be loaded.

Complete collection of built-in effects

The built-in effects eliminate the need for a separate pedalboard for many applications. The signal chain includes a noise gate, compressor, overdrive, wah, modulation, and reverb. The various effects can be precisely adjusted via the free MightyAmp app or computer software.

Available effects include K Comp, Rose Comp, Touch Wah, Uni Vibe, Phase 100, RC Boost, TScream, and Muff. For modulation, stereo chorus, flanger, and phaser are present. The reverb section offers Room, Hall, Plate, and Spring.

Drum machine and 60-second looper

The built-in drum machine allows for direct practice with various rhythms. Automatic tempo detection helps find a suitable tempo. The looper can record up to 60 seconds of audio, allowing bass lines, chord progressions, and musical ideas to be layered.

The included NUX NMP-2 footswitch operates the drum machine and looper hands-free. This allows both functions to be started and stopped during play without taking hands off the instrument.

Control via the MightyAmp app

Via the free MightyAmp app for iOS and Android, amplifier models, effects, cabinet IRs, and presets can be managed wirelessly. Settings such as gain, equalizer, modulation, delay, and reverb can be adjusted from a smartphone or tablet.

Favorite configurations can be saved as presets. For more extensive editing, firmware updates, and loading external IR files, the Mighty Bass Editor for Windows or macOS can be used.

Bluetooth for music and wireless control

With the included NBT-1 Bluetooth module, music can be played wirelessly over the amplifier from a smartphone or tablet. This makes it easy to play along with songs, backing tracks, and online music lessons.

Bluetooth MIDI is used for wireless communication between the amplifier and the MightyAmp app. This allows the amplifier to be controlled from a mobile device without connecting an additional cable.

USB audio interface for recording

Via USB, the Mighty Bass 50BT can be connected directly to a computer. The amplifier then functions as an audio interface for recording and supports various routing options. The USB connection is also used for firmware updates and communication with the computer software.

The balanced DI output allows direct connection to a mixer, PA system, or audio interface. Separate IR switches can determine whether the cabinet simulation is sent to the internal amplifier and the DI output.
