Wireless practice with guitar or bass guitar
The NUX Mighty Air is a compact wireless stereo modeling amplifier for electric guitar and bass guitar. You connect the included NUX transmitter directly to the instrument, after which the signal is sent wirelessly to the amplifier's built-in receiver. This allows you to play without an instrument cable running through the room.
The wireless connection works with both active and passive pickups. With a delay of less than 5 milliseconds, the amplifier remains direct and naturally responsive to your playing.
Amplifier models, cabinet simulations and effects
The Mighty Air combines various guitar and bass amplifier models with realistic cabinet impulse responses. From clear clean tones to overdriven rock and high-gain sounds: you can create a suitable sound for a wide range of music styles.
In addition, the amplifier features an extensive collection of effects. You can use compression, overdrive, distortion, modulation, delay, and reverb, among others. A noise gate helps reduce unwanted noise during practice.
Control via the MightyAmp app
You can connect the amplifier via Bluetooth to the free MightyAmp app for iOS and Android. In the app, you can select and precisely adjust amplifier models, cabinet settings, and effects. Custom sounds can be saved so you can quickly reuse them later.
Bluetooth can also be used to play music and backing tracks from a smartphone or tablet. This allows you to easily play along with your favorite songs, online lessons, or backing tracks.
Built-in drum machine and tap-tempo
The built-in drum machine offers various rhythms for practicing timing and improvisation. With the tap-tempo function, you can set the rhythm speed yourself. The drum machine makes the Mighty Air suitable for daily practice sessions without the need for additional equipment.
When the drum machine is not in use, the tap function can be used to musically adjust the delay time of the delay effect.
Wide stereo sound from a compact housing
Two 2-inch speakers together with a passive bass radiator provide a spacious stereo sound and solid low-frequency reproduction. This means that not only electric guitar sounds, but also bass guitar models, acoustic simulations, and played music come across convincingly.
With a power of 10 watts, the Mighty Air is primarily intended for home use, music lessons, travel, and warming up before a gig.
Rechargeable and maximally portable
The built-in battery offers up to approximately 18 hours of playtime. This means the amplifier can be used almost anywhere without being permanently connected to a power outlet. Charging is done via USB-C.
The amplifier also has a special input that can be used to charge the included wireless transmitter. This keeps the amplifier and transmitter ready for the next practice session together.
