NUX MG-300 compact digital multi-effects pedal
The NUX MG-300 is a compact guitar modeler with amplifier models, speaker simulations, and an extensive collection of effects. Thanks to its built-in drum machine, looper, expression pedal, and USB audio function, it is suitable for practice, recording, and performance. The clear controls and color display make it easy to create sounds and select stored presets.
Realistic amplifier modeling
The MG-300 uses NUX TSAC-HD technology to accurately reproduce the behavior and dynamics of analog preamps, overdrives, and guitar amplifiers. This ensures the sound responds naturally to picking dynamics, guitar volume, and setting changes. From bright cleans and warm crunch to powerful high-gain sounds, the available models allow you to quickly assemble a suitable basic sound.
Cabinet simulation with Impulse Responses
For convincing speaker simulation, the MG-300 features 25 built-in cabinet IRs. These can be combined with four virtual microphones and three microphone positions. Additionally, external Impulse Responses in 48 kHz WAV format can be loaded via the free NUX QuickTone software. This allows you to precisely tailor the sound for headphones, recording setups, active monitors, or mixing consoles.
Extensive effects section
In addition to amplifier and cabinet simulations, the MG-300 offers various compression, overdrive, distortion, modulation, delay, and reverb effects. The modulation section includes chorus, flanger, phaser, vibe, rotary, and vibrato, among others. Delay effects feature tap tempo and rhythmic subdivisions, while the reverb section offers various spatial sounds. The global three-band equalizer allows for quick adjustment of the final sound to suit the setup or room being used.
Built-in expression pedal
The integrated expression pedal can control various functions. For example, use it as a volume or wah pedal, or assign it to parameters such as gain, pitch, amplifier level, or the effects mix of modulation, delay, and reverb. This allows sounds to be dynamically adjusted during playing without taking your hands off the instrument.
Drum machine and synchronized looper
The built-in drum machine contains eight music styles, each with seven rhythms, totaling 56 drum beats. The phrase looper offers up to 60 seconds of recording time. Thanks to Phrase Loop Synchronization, a recorded phrase can automatically be adjusted to the tempo of the selected rhythm. This makes the MG-300 particularly practical for timing exercises, improvisation, and developing new ideas.
USB audio interface and re-amping
Via USB, the MG-300 can be connected directly to a computer and used as an audio interface. Guitar parts can therefore be recorded without an additional interface. The adjustable USB audio routing also supports re-amping, allowing a previously recorded dry guitar signal to be re-routed through the amplifier models and effects of the MG-300.
QuickTone software
With the free NUX QuickTone editor for Windows and macOS, presets can be clearly adjusted and managed. Changes to the physical controls are immediately reflected in the software. QuickTone can also be used for loading external cabinet IRs, managing patches, and setting up USB audio routing.
Suitable for silent practice
Thanks to the headphone jack, you can practice without disturbing others. Music from a phone, tablet, or other audio player can be played simultaneously via the AUX input. This makes it easy to play along with songs, online lessons, and backing tracks.
