Power multiple effect pedals with one adapter
The Hotone DCA-5 is a daisy-chain power cable that allows you to connect up to five compatible effect pedals to a single suitable power adapter. This reduces the number of separate adapters and power outlets needed, keeping your pedalboard tidier.
The cable is particularly practical for compact pedalboards with multiple analog effect pedals that use the same voltage, polarity, and power connection.
Five right-angle power plugs
The DCA-5 splits one power connection into five separate plugs. The right-angle design takes up little space at the power inputs of effect pedals and helps prevent cables from unnecessarily protruding beyond the pedalboard.
There is more than 25 cm of cable between the individual connections. This allows the effect pedals to be mounted in different places on the pedalboard.
Sturdy oxygen-free copper core
The cable features a 24AWG inner core of oxygen-free copper. This material supports reliable power transfer between the power adapter and the connected effect pedals.
With a cable diameter of 3.5 mm, the DCA-5 is sturdy enough for regular use during rehearsals, on stage, and in the studio.
Check your pedals' power supply
All connected pedals share the same power adapter. Therefore, before use, check that the pedals require the same voltage and polarity. Also, the total current consumption of the five pedals must not exceed the maximum current of the adapter used.
A daisy chain can cause extra noise with certain digital pedals or effect combinations. For pedals with different power requirements or sensitive digital circuits, a power supply with isolated outputs is a better choice.
