The sE Electronics V7 ENG is the professional interview microphone specially developed for ENG (Electronic News Gathering) and EFP (Electronic Field Production) work. While ENG refers to rapid on-location news gathering with mobile reporters, EFP focuses on planned productions such as documentaries, reports, and corporate video recordings. The V7 ENG perfectly suits both workflows thanks to its broadcast-worthy sound, robust construction, and extended handle that provides space for a mic flag, ensuring a professional appearance even on camera.
The microphone uses the renowned supercardioid DMC7 capsule, which delivers clear, open, and natural vocal sound with excellent off-axis rejection. This ensures that the speaker's voice remains clearly intelligible in noisy streets, at busy events, or in reverberant spaces. The integrated, patented shockmount minimizes handling noise and mechanical vibrations, ensuring that spontaneous interviews, walk-and-talk shots, or dynamic camera movements are always recorded cleanly and without interference.
Durability is essential for intensive fieldwork, which is why the V7 ENG features an all-metal body made of die-cast zinc alloy, a stainless steel grille, and a distinctive beveled edge that prevents rolling. Gold-plated XLR contacts ensure an interference-free, stable connection, while both an internal black windscreen and an additional external pop filter are included for optimal control of wind noise and plosives during outdoor recordings.
