The Sire Marcus Miller V1 is the entry-level model in the series, designed for beginners, students, and music schools. It is built in the same factory as the more expensive Sire models, which means the finish and playability are far above the level of most starter basses. The mahogany body provides a warm, round sound with a full low end.

22 frets and Edgeless™ edges

The hard maple neck features a C-profile and a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets and Edgeless™ rolled edges. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch radius, this is a familiar, comfortable jazz bass neck – even for those just starting out.

Fully passive and easy to adjust

Two Sire Basic J single coils are controlled by two volume knobs and one tone control. No battery, no menus: the balance between the two pickups and the tone control allows you to achieve all the classic jazz bass sounds.
