Sire V1 4 Marcus Miller 4-string Passive Bass Guitar Tide Pool

Passive Jazz Bass for Beginners

The Sire Marcus Miller V1 is the entry-level model of the series, intended for beginners, students, and music schools. It is built in the same factory as the more expensive Sire models, which puts its finish and playability far above the level of most beginner basses. The mahogany body provides a warm, round sound with a full low end.

22 Frets and Edgeless™ Edges

The hard maple neck has a C-profile and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium frets and Edgeless™ rounded edges. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch radius, this is a familiar, comfortable jazz bass neck — even for those just starting out.

Completely Passive and Easy to Set Up

Two Sire Basic J single coils are controlled with two volume knobs and one tone control. No battery, no menus: the balance between both pickups and the tone control allows you to achieve all classic jazz bass sounds.
