Modern Jazz Bass with Heritage-3 Preamp
The Sire Marcus Miller V7 New Gen is the updated version of the bass that made Sire famous. The North American alder body provides an open, balanced fundamental tone with a tight attack and a clearly defined low end. The New Gen version has been updated in many respects: a revised neck profile, stainless steel frets, and lighter hardware for better balance on the strap.
Edgeless™ Neck with Stainless Steel Frets
The neck features the new C-profile with Edgeless™ rounded fretboard edges, allowing the hand to glide over it without sharp transitions. With a 34-inch scale length and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius, the bass plays familiar, while the 2.4mm stainless steel frets show hardly any wear and allow for smooth bends.
Marcus Heritage-3 with Mid-Frequency Control
The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickups are amplified by the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp. In addition to treble and bass, it has a mid control with adjustable mid-frequency, allowing you to shape the bass from a classic transparent jazz sound to a full, present mid-range. The bass control works as a push-pull switch: pulling it out puts the bass in passive mode, so you can continue playing even without a battery.
