Compact 3/4 electric guitar
The SX SST62 3/4 is a compact electric guitar with the familiar design and versatility of a classic ST-model. Due to its shortened scale length of 610 mm, the instrument is particularly suitable for children aged approximately 8 to 12 years and players with smaller hands.
The smaller body is lighter and easier to hold than a standard 4/4 electric guitar. Nevertheless, the instrument offers all the important features of a full-fledged electric model, including three single-coil pickups, a five-way switch, and a vintage-style tremolo bridge.
Three single-coils for versatile sounds
The three ceramic single-coil pickups deliver bright and dynamic guitar sounds. With the five-way switch, you can select individual pickups or combinations thereof. This makes the guitar suitable for various styles, such as pop, blues, funk, and rock.
With one volume control and two tone controls, the sound can be further adjusted. From sparkling clean chords to a sharper sound for riffs and solos: this compact SX offers plenty of room to explore different sounds.
Comfortable for young and smaller players
The body is made of basswood and is combined with a bolted-on neck made of selected Canadian maple. The rosewood fretboard has a radius of 305 mm and features 21 medium frets.
Thanks to the nut width of 38 mm and the shorter scale length, the frets are closer together than on a full-size guitar. Chords and melodies are therefore more easily accessible for smaller hands. Adult players can also use this size as a compact travel guitar.
Vintage tremolo and included bag
The chrome vintage-style tremolo bridge allows for subtle pitch-bending effects. The sealed construction, adjustable truss rod, and chrome vintage-style tuning machines provide a good foundation for reliable tuning.
The guitar comes with a suitable SX EB400/M 3/4 gig bag. This allows the instrument to be easily transported to music lessons, rehearsals, or holidays.
